Dr. Barbara Sinor has maintained a private counseling practice for over twenty-five years. She counsels individuals and facilitates groups exploring the healing and recovery of addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder, childhood
abuse/incest, adults of alcoholics, and co dependent/self-esteem issues. Dr. Sinor has received her Doctorate in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in John F. Kennedy University's Graduate School for the Study of Human Consciousness majoring in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology. She is the author of
four books including Gifts From The Child Within (Second Edition 2008); An Inspirational Guide for the Recovering Soul (2003); and ADDICTION: What’s Really Going On? (2009). Dr. Sinor’s current writing project is Tales of
Addiction which documents stories from those who have been or are addicted to drugs
and/or alcohol, or those whose life has been affected by this addiction
through friends and family.

Laura deBaun

Laura deBaun is a practicing therapist, in private practice since 1993, with experience in various field settings since 1983. Laura specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She is highly experienced with families, individual adults, children and adolescents. In addition to the EMDR therapy, the modalities she uses are both clinically based: psychodynamic, solution-focused brief therapy, family systems, cognitive/behavioral therapy, as well as transpersonal and symbolic such as Jungian psychology and methods developed in the great spiritual traditions. She has also trained in various bodywork techniques.

Laura’s professional history also includes Clinical Director of Treatment, Alcohol and Other Drug Services, in Lakeport, California. Here she provided individual, family and group treatment for substance abuse and other addictions, and co-dependency. This also included prevention groups in middle and high schools; supervising treatment staff, and presenter and public outreach coordinator on addiction and treatment issues.
Prior to this position, she worked as a adolescent dual diagnosis counselor in a psychiatric hospital in Vallejo, California.

She is known for her charisma and depth of understanding of body, heart and spirit. Her primary yoga training was with Jivamukti and Standing Wave. She is founder of the Yoga Program at Harbin Hot Springs, and is featured in the DVD's Ecstatic Yoga and Tantric Yoga for Lovers. Satya studied dance at The London Contemporary Dance School and on Africa’s Ivory Coast. Her primary interest is to help students discover the power and pleasure of incarnation, and to use their bodies as the vehicle for awakening.
